The 24th November CFA Society Perú hosted the Regional Final of the Ethics Challenge where Uruguay was represented by a team of Universidad ORT.

We held the webinar “The Strong Dollar: a Blessing or a Curse” co organized with Colchester Global Investors, CFA Society Chile and CFA Society Brazil.


Uruguay in the 12th position on the Mercer Index

The Mercer CFA Institute Global Pension Index benchmarks 44 retirement income systems around the world, highlighting challenges and opportunities within each.

The index is made up of three sub-indices – adequacy, sustainability and integrity – to measure each retirement income system against more than 50 indicators.

The possible reform

We held the event  “Uruguayan Provisional System: possible reform, where are we going?” organized together with the National Academy of Economy.

The 3rd of August we held the conference “Sustainable Finance: Myth and Reality” co hosted with Academia Nacional de Economía where Barbara Mainzer, CFA highlighted Uruguay’s opportunities in relation to ESG factors.


Capital Market Development

On 27th July we held the event ” Capital Market Devolpment” co hosted with National Academy in which Julio de Brun, Alberto Estrada and Carlos Steneri where the speakers. They assessed that the country should take advantage of the prestige and solidity it has in the region – in contrast to the weaknesses of our neighbors – to strengthen itself as “a financing platform on a regional scale”


Ecctis Benchmarks the CFA Charter

CFA designation found to be comparable to Master’s degree standard across 12 markets globally

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces today that Ecctis, a UK-based and internationally respected reference point for global qualifications and skills standards, has deemed the CFA charter comparable to Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 7 and Master’s degree standard in 12 markets in a recent study; those markets account for over 80 percent of CFA Program candidate volumes.
