Previously, he was an Economic Studies analyst and Market Risk Analyst at the Superintendency of Financial Services of the Central Bank of Uruguay.

He was a Finance professor at the Catholic University of Uruguay from 2009 to 2020.

He is the Head of the Department of Risk Supervision Department of the Superintendence of Financial Services.
