CFA Society Uruguay hosted an exclusive session featuring Jimena Zúñiga, Geoeconomics Analyst for Latin America and Argentina Economist at Bloomberg Economics, to discuss Argentina’s evolving economic and political landscape and its implications for markets.
At a particularly significant moment for the country, the discussion explored progress on President Javier Milei’s economic reform agenda, improvements in fiscal and external balances, renewed market interest, and the impact of Fitch’s recent upgrade of Argentina’s sovereign credit rating to B- with a Stable Outlook.
The session also examined key political and economic risks, the sustainability of the current reform momentum, and the medium-term outlook for Argentina, highlighting potential implications for investors, policymakers, and businesses closely monitoring developments in both Argentina and the broader region.
We thank Jimena Zúñiga for sharing her expertise and insights, and all participants for contributing to a thoughtful and engaging discussion.
