Hispanic CFA Societies Meeting

Fabián Ibarburu and José Pedro Aramendia represented CFA Society Uruguay at the First Spanish-Speaking #CFA Societies Meeting, held this week in Madrid, with the participation of representatives from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Miami, and Spain.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange initiatives and share best practices from each region, strengthening coordination and collaborative efforts toward common goals.

Within this framework, Fabián Ibarburu moderated the roundtable held during the presentation of the study “The Rise of Startups and Venture Capital in Latin America and the Caribbean: Trends and Challenges”, prepared by IE University’s Latin America Observatory and co-funded by CFA Society Spain and CEAPI.

In addition, representatives from CFA Society Uruguay participated in the #Latibex Forum – Ibero-American Investment Meeting 2025, held at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace.

To conclude the meeting, and in collaboration with BME | Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, the roundtable “From the Front Line: Key Insights for Investing in Ibero-America” was held, featuring the participation of leading Spanish-speaking CFA Charterholders.

We thank CFA Society Spain for its organization and hospitality, as well as the participating societies, for making this meeting possible—an important step forward in our commitment to growing together as the CFA community.
