Membership with CFA Society Uruguay

Regular Membership

To become a Regular Member of CFA Society Uruguay, you must meet the same requirements as those for Regular or Charterholder membership with the CFA Institute.

Requirements for Regular Membership:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience
  • Passing score on one of the following:
    • CFA Level I Exam
    • CIPM Level II Exam
    • Standards of Practice Exam (self-administered)
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of relevant professional experience, completed over at least 36 months
  • Professional references:
    • 2 references if one is an active Regular Member of the local society
    • 3 references if none are active Regular Members of the local society

Requirements for Chaterholder Membership:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience
  • Passing score on the CFA Level III Exam
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of relevant professional experience, completed over at least 36 months
  • Professional references:
    • 2 references if one is an active Regular Member of the local society
    • 3 references if none are active Regular Members of the local society

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Membership is designed for investment professionals who do not yet meet the requirements for Regular membership.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of acceptable professional work experience
  • Passing score on the CFA Level I Exam
